WOZNIAK ENDS JANKOVIC HOPES
Jelena Jankovic has been defeated in the second round of the Rogers Cup by Aleksandra Wozniak of Canada. Wozniak won the match in the straight sets by 6-2, 6-3. The Serbian tennis star, who is ranked 18th in the official rankings of WTA, made a lot of mistakes in the match and didn’t hit enough winners. She lost the game in just 91 minutes. This was the fifth match between these two players and Wozniak defeated Jankovic for the first time.
Jankovic didn’t start the match too well. Her service was broken by Wozniak in the second game of the first set. Wozniak won the first three games of the first set in a row and made the score 3-0. In the next two games, both the players held their service and the score was 4-1 at the end of the fifth game. Read more »
