I don’t necessarily think Sabine was kneeling down due to the fact she won, I think It’s more to do with the fact that she had lost the previous 3 meetings against Jankovic and got her revenge. Beating someone who you’ve lost to that many times must be a great feeling. Can’t really blame her.
I definitely see where you’re coming from and I agree, it’s a bit desperate and pedestrian. It’s really sad how much she struggles with her confidence. Like when it comes to top players, Sabine knows she has to step up and play her best, it’s the players she should beat that she has trouble with. Instead of stepping up playing a top tier level, she steps down/back and plays down to her opponents level.
It’s a little sad to me, because with the talent she has, she needs to EXPECT the fact that she will win. When she acts like that to me, it’s like she was some lowly underdog with no shot of winning imo.
I think she’s just happy whenever she wins and beats a top player, cause everyone knows she can do it, she knows she can, she just lacks the consistency. Beating top players proves just reassures her confidence and belief, it inspires her.
Great match point and all, but Sabine doesn’t have to be kneeling down on the court like she just won Wimbledon or some shit….it’s just the second round of Stuttgart….LMAO!!

I don’t wanna get too excited too fast BUT…. I think Jankovic is slowly but surely getting back into good form (fingers-crossed)
