FOCUS ON JANKOVIC

Jelena Jankovic was a former world number one professional tennis player that was born in the year 1985 in the country of Belgrade. Reaching the finals of the 2008 U.S Open, Jelena Jankovic also won the 2007Wimbeldon Mixed Doubles title and had ranked 18th. Jelena Jankovic is presently being coached by former Dinara Safinacoach, Zelijko Krajan.

To talk about a bit of her personal life we notice that Jelena Jankovic  was born in Belgrade and was the child of two economist.  She also took up economics as a subject in her college education but then put it for an indefinite hold when she decided to pursued tennis as her career.  Jelena Jankovic learnt her Tennis skills in the tennis club – Red Star. She then won the 2001 Australia Open Championship as a junior and was the junior number one in the world.

At the 2012 Australia Open, Jelena Jankovic was the 13th seed  but she defeated Laura Robson, Kai Cheg Chang and Christina Mc Hale in the first few opening rounds.  After this she defeated Wozniacki  in the fourth round. Jelena Jankovic then teamed up with Australian Tennis player Bernard Tomic. Next up Jelena Jankovic played the 2012 Qatar Total Open where she received a bye in the second round and next continued the chain of  games with the Dubai Duty Free  Open. Jelena Jankovic was nearly out in the first round but then somehow managed to reach the semifinals where she was finally defeated by Radwanska. Jelena Jankovic then started off with the American hard court season by starting off with Indian Wells.  The European season was started off by playing  in the E books Sony Ericsson Open. Jelena survived Laura Robson defeating her and comin gout of her losing streak. Next waiting for Jelena is the Fed Cup when she plays against Russia.
